Jobs & Careers

Many students who graduate from high school directly enter the workforce instead of going to college.  Many careers exist that do not necessarily require a college degree: air traffic controllers, airline pilots, automotive, carpenter, construction, cosmetology, electricians, firefighters, HVAC, landscapers, linespeople (power lines), painters, pipefitters, plumbers, police officers, roofers, and more!

Apprenticeship programs & trade schools: *

LinkedIn

Students, it's  a great idea to have a profile on LinkedIn, especially the older you are, towards senior and junior years.  LinkedIn allows you to create a personal, professional profile that can be used to help you network and raise your profile for jobs, internships, and research opportunities, during high school, college, and beyond!
Students can create their own LinkedIn account here.
