Applying to Private Schools:
Students planning to apply to private/independent or public out of state colleges and universities must request applications from the individual college admission offices if their applications are not online. If you are planning to apply to colleges using the Common Application, you can fill it out online or download a PDF version from
Applying to Schools on the Common Application:
Students applying to colleges that use the Common App must match their Common App and Naviance accounts in order for teachers to send letters of recommendation to colleges. Updated instructions on the linking can be found here.


SHS Application Process:
Saratoga High School has its own internal system to process letters of recommendation for students applying to private schools. Be sure to pick up your Secondary School Report (SSR) packet from the Guidance Office. Packets cost $25. See your guidance counselor for more questions. Early Decision/Early Action:

If you are applying Early Decision/Early Action, these forms are due in the Guidance Office on September 16, 2015. The Regular Decision due date is October 14, 2015. Students who submit paperwork after the due date will be given "Priority II" status. We cannot guarantee your materials will be sent to colleges on time if your materials are given "Priority II" status.
