Digital Electronics (DE)
- This course in applied logic encompasses the application of electronic circuits and devices.
- Computer simulation software is used to design and test digital circuitry prior to breadboarding.
- Students are introduced to logic gates, flip-flops, combinational logic, sequential logic, soldering, and state machines.
- Boolean algebra and Karnaugh maps are used to optimize circuits.
- Students also learn how to program Arduino UNOs with various sensors and motors.
Recommended Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in Algebra 2 or higher. No prior engineering course required.
