STEM

STEM LabSTEM Lab is for all students. Students will complete one semester of programming (CS) and one semester of engineering.

The CS portion of the course focuses on problem solving, computational practices and building student confidence in programming. Students start with visual block programming, then progress to different programming languages including Python.  STEM Lab will help prepare students for Computer Science A (AP).

The engineering portion of the course focuses on the design and building of real objects.  Students learn 3D visualization, accurate measurements, and drafting principles while using the 3D modeling software, Onshape.  Students will design objects and then learn how to use the hand tools, drill press, laser cutter, and a 3D printer to bring their designs to reality.
