Cheer Raising Funds for MDA
The cheer team is hosting a BBQ at the Argonaut Safeway this Friday, Sept. 3rd, from 4 - 8:00. Enjoy a meal (burger, hot dog or sausage, plus chips and drink) for a suggested $5 donation, and dessert (root beer floats and banana splits) for a $2 donation. All proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. |

First Dance of the year....
Back to school dance will be held on Sept. 4th from 8:00 - 11:00 in the quad. If you want to bring a guest please download "Guest Approval Form" and have your guest fill it out. |

SHS Speech & Debate Booster Club parent meeting
SHS Speech & Debate Booster Club will hold it's first parent meeting on Tuesday, September 7th, at 7:00 pm in the school library. Our head coach Mr. Rector and assistant coach Mr. Clemmons will be there to give the parents the overview of the program and answer any questions. The parent committee will help you with the membership registration if you haven't done so. The Coast Forensics League Demo Day is Saturday, September 11th at Los Altos High School. The demo flyer will be distributed at the parent meeting. For questions, please email j.ting@comcast.net. We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting. |

Fall Play Auditions
We welcome our Fall Play director, Mr. Steve Dini and want to invite all interested actors and technicians to participate in the Workshop and Open Audition for the 2010 SHS Fall Play, Thorton Wilder's "Our Town." This play was SHS' first production in 1959, so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only celebrate through theater, but also to welcome alumni and current students into the world of Grover's corner -- a town much like our own. Come be a part, we welcome all students. Final day for auditions: Friday, Sept. 3rd @ 3:00 in the Little Theater These will be cold reading auditions -- no need to prepare a monologue! Rehearsals begin tuesday, Sept. 6th @ 3:30pm - 5:30 pm and will run Monday through Thursday (No Friday rehearsals) according to the schedule to be distributed by Mr. Dini at the auditions.
